I know I can down load 2.8 Solaris (SPARC)  from then sun.com site, but I
need  Solaris 2.6 (SPARC) version is it available for download on the
internet??

Download is only available for the latest Solaris version.
You can buy versions which are still current, but I'm pretty
sure Solaris 2.6 is too old; this is normally the current
release and one release before, i.e. Solaris 8 and Solaris 7.
You could try phoning around Sun distributors to see if any
have old stock. Bear in mind that older Solaris releases are
much more expensive than the current release.

Must be one out there.

I bought Solaris 2.6 for Intel at about $15 not that long ago.
