Anyone ever do this, when I do ifconfig -a I get lo0 and Eri0 as a full
response, I need to do something with dhcp but dont know how to set it up.

go to the sun docs web site and look under the Solaris 2.8 section and then
pull the System Admin vol 3 book.
It is a PDF file that basically is dedicated to TCP/IP network setup issues.
It has several chapters on DHCP and configuration.

Look at http://www.rite-group.com/consulting/solaris_dhcp.html which, with
relatively few modifications, worked fine for me (on an Ultra with 2 hme
NICs).
