Attach the CD-Rom to the machine, note the SCSI ID on the back of the CD-Rom
device.
Power up the Cd-rom.
Stop-A the workstation and then type reboot --r (or failing that type
'reset').
Once the machine boots up, go to the /dev/ directory and look for a 'sd(x)a'
device listed - where (x) is the SCSI id of the CD-Rom. If the ID is 6 then
the next command would look like this :
dd if=/dev/sd6a of=/dev/null/
Type this in from the /dev/ prompt and the CD-Rom drive light should come
on, Ctrl-D this.
Now type:
mount -F hsfs -r/dev/sd6a /cdrom.
Bob's your uncle. one Cd-Rom now available to the workstation.
