What would cause all telnet sessions to timeout and disconnect after an
idle period? This is Solaris 2.7 on e4500. I've never seen anything
quite like it B4.

This might not be much help, but I once thought I had telnet sessions drop
and then I found out that there had been changes to the router, so really it
was just a network issue, not a Unix or telnet issue. Otherwise, I'm pretty
sure the telnet should not drop unless you kill it or intentionally end the
session. JP

Some shells have timeout parameters.
