resolver patch: Where are the manual pages?

Post by D. Ro » Sat, 15 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I noticed for the resolver patches only preformatted manual
pages in the patch-directory. Why aren't there any updated
versions of the manual pages installed in /usr/share/man?

1. Why aren't updated manual pages included with patches

I have looked through the latest Recommended patches and
still don't see any manual pages which will get installed
for some updated commands (ifconfig, resolver). There
only exists some preformatted versions which don't get installed
with such stupid names like SPECIAL_NOTE_IFCONFIG.

Why aren't the manual pages included in the packages in normla
roff format to get installed in /usr/share/man?
