Is anyone out there using third-part print queue software,
such as LP Plus or COSprint (aka BMC Patrol)?
I would be interested in your opinion on these or other print
queue products.
Thanks for your input.

I also have used LPRng (which is free, industry
supported, and very good except that it is a
little too university focused for me, but seeing
you have vassar.edu in your address might
actually be a plus for you.)
I recently (last week in fact) implemented a
specialized plotting queue management system
using a combination of perl and sh scripts.
It turns out to be easier than it sounds once
you get all the necessary information. I've
proposed a paper on this to a conference in
September.
Like anything else, which tool is best depends
on what you want to use it for.
