We have problems using a new ATI Graphic Expression 2MB PCI card with
Solaris 2.4 for x86. We have tested both driver update 7 and 8.
Have ATI made any changes to the hardware ?

We have installed Solaris 2.4 for the x86 using Driver Update 6 on a
Gateway 2000 P5-90 machine which has an ATI Graphics Pro Turbo mach 64
based video card. The driver updates indicates that it supports this
video card. kdmconfig allows it to be selected. However, when I start
openwindows the windows are drawn incorrectly. Each window has about
1/4 inch of its left and right sides replicated about 1/2 inch from
the actual window. These shadow sides remain where they are when the
window is moved. Eventually the screen is completely covered by bad
images. Other than the problem with the video, the system works perfectly.
Has anyone else used this card successfully? Are there known bugs in the
driver or Solaris that prevent this card from working?
Any help would be appreciated.
