Hello !

I have a Pentium II machine with 64Mb RAM and a 3c509
ethernet card.
My version of OS is "Solaris/x86 7 HW 3/99".
The ethernet card has been detected correctly at system
installation.

But when the system boots the following message appears on
the screen:

ifconfig : SIOCGIFFLAGS: elx0: no such interface

I am stucked and do not have any ideea how to make it work.
Please help.
Dan

I ran into that recently and it turned out to be an interrupt
conflict, but I've also seen it with the 3c509b's that have PnP
enabled by default. To fix it I ran the 3c5x9cfg program from a DOS
boot and set the card for non-PnP and auto-configured it. Then when
booting Solaris, escape to the Configuration Assistant and scan the
devices.
