I have a Sun DDS3 tape drive (12/24GB), model 599-2107-01. Will the standard 120m tapes allow the 24GB compressed capacity (with H/W compression turned on), or, do I need the longer 160m tapes?

Also, please wrap your lines.

You can get 12 GB on the 120-125m tape without compression, and aboutQuote:> I have a Sun DDS3 tape drive (12/24GB), model 599-2107-01. Will

I have a different question, though - my "Clean" light is on and the
cleaning tape won't slide in. There is no tape in the drive, and "mt
offline" doesn't help. I've tried cycling power and holding down the
eject button for several seconds, all to no avail. I'm trying to
clean with a Sony 5CL 5m DDS computer grade cleaning cartridge. What
obvious step am I missing?
Thanks,
Jim
