Distinguish subnets when listening for broadcasts?

1. WIN-Machines listen better to foreign subnets as RH Linux 6.2's?!

no answer from the linux machines by pinging from an foreign net

The description of your problem is:
i have the following network:
                         -------
192.168.0.x   |            |        192.168.11.x
-------------------|Route  |----------------
                       |             |
                        --------
on both site a have heterogenius network
and now the problem:
IF I PING FROM 192.168.11.x A LINUX-MACHINE IN THE 192.168.0.x I GET NOW
ANSWER -- IF I PING A WINNT(TM) MACHINE IT WORKS WELL!!!
IF I PING THE OWN SUBNET (e.g 192.168.0.1 pings 192.168.0.12 (a LINUX
MASCHINE)) IT WORKS WELL!!
So why can't i ping the linux machines in the other net???
Please Help me or is WinNT the better one?!
