Disk space, where are my files, where is my free space?

Where do I find out the partitions, or volumes, or whatever they are called?
I installed 2.7 on a 2 gig drive and get messages that I am out of disk space.
Is there another partition, or volume or something else?

1. Am I losing disk space?????

Hey Linuxers,

When I do a 'df' to determine the amount of free disk space I
have on my Linux partition, I get the following information returned
to me:

Filesystem         1024-blocks  Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/hda2             315000  122350   176900     41%   /

If one adds the number of 1024 byte blocks used and available
(122350 + 176900 = 299250), we find that sum to be 15750 blocks less
than the total number of blocks.  This is an ext2fs filesystem under

on here?  Where did this extra 15+ Mbytes go to?  Is this an
indication of disk fragmentation?  If so, what utility is available to
defragment the disk?

        Thanx in advance...
