Hi,

I have to configure a serial device from RS-423 to RS-232 on a ultra 5
Solaris box with Solaris 2.6.
Where can I find some informations?

You do this by changing jumpers on the motherboard.  But are you really
sure you need to do this?  My Suns have never had any trouble with any
serial device, depsite being set to RS 423.

thanks for youre response....

my problem is, that I must configure a timeserver with a DCF 77 watch. This
watch understand only RS-232 (This say the manufactor of this watch). I do
not know, if RS-232 is a part of RS-423...

... where can I find some informations about the jumper settings

  The two are so close it should work without re-jumpering.

  docs.sun.com has the hardware reference manual, plus a few

to distinquish whether a machine is configured for rs232 or
