Very Computer

I has recently set up some HP laserjet 4Plus printers to print from
Solaris 2.3.  The printers configuration went smoothly with jetadmin
on the Solaris box and basic printing works fine.  I have however been
unable to use lp -o options like using CPI= etc.  I  would like to be
able to print Courier12 pitch etc.  lp returns options not suported by
the printer.  Any help or reference to documentation would be
appreciated!!!

  Depending on the version of jetadmin you are using, you can either
  find out what options are supported by its script:
        lp -ooptions <file>   (this will print an extra page listing all
                              options)
       or
        man net_lj4x

  To your particular question,
        lp -ofp#  will do (# is the number)
        or
        lp -o12
