Hi,
I'm running solaris 9, with dhcpd configured to listen on 3 interfaces,
serving SunRay units. 'dhcpmgr' shows that there are several IPs left
on each of the three networks (there are only about 20 clients on each),
yet there are some SunRays that are not getting IPs.
The logs show:
Apr 25 13:31:27 myhost in.dhcpd[2442]: [ID 603263 daemon.notice] No more
IP addresses on 10.200.200.0 network (010003BA118661)
Apr 25 13:31:36 myhost in.dhcpd[2442]: [ID 603263 daemon.notice] No more
IP addresses on 10.200.202.0 network (010003BA1186D7)
Yet, there are IPs available that are not reserved or marked as
unusable. I can see them both in dhcpmgr and in the /var/dhcp/* files,
with no associated ethernet addresses. I've tried adding new IPs to the
list, and restarting dhcpd, but it makes no difference. The already
functioning SunRay clients can be restarted, and they obtain IPs, but
the ones without prior IPs cannot, and produce the above notices in the
dhcp logs.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Brent
