Is there a way to establish network communications and file sharing between
a Indigo 2 and a Sun Sparc 20 with Solaris?

Well, what about TCP/IP and NFS ? :-)

Well, the network setup commands are a little different on Sun and SGI.
As for file sharing, NFS works great.  There will be subtle differences
in the "mount" command.

I don't have NFS. Where can I get it?

NFS is integrated with Irix and Solaris software.

Ummm, don't think so for the older SGI's. I'm pretty sure that I've
always had to order it as a separate item in the past. At any rate, it
won't get installed unless you've specifically exposed the install
program to the ONC3/NFS CD.
