hello,
im trying to burn some unix files on my pc using nero to be read again
in solaris, i have ftp'd the files to my pc. ,i read that i need to
make an iso for this to be readable (again) on solaris(8) as windows
screws up the unix filenames
I tried udf in nero which didnt work. i tried to use mkisofs but this
is not on my solaris system(core install), could someone tell me what i
should do?

I would download mkisofs and install it. It's part of the cdrtools
package if I remember correctly.

Install the SUNWmkcd package from your installation CDs or DVD.
