by I'm trying to jumpstart Solaris 8.
When I try to, with "boot net - install", I get:
grantpt: No such file or directory
XView error: NULL pointer passed to xv_set
"boot net - install w" works fine.
We used to get a similar (perhaps identical) error back when we tried
to jumpstart Solaris 2.6. I was told the error was because I was
using GNU cpio and not sun cpio, and as I recall switching to sun cpio
fixed the problem.
However with Solaris 8, I am definitely using sun cpio to copy from
CDROM to disk, and I'm getting this error again.
Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know a fix?
