Solaris 2.2 patches

Solaris 2.2 patches

Post by Michael D. Beyn » Sat, 25 Sep 1993 06:00:49

---

We are trying to port a Lucid Common Lisp application to Solaris 2.2.
It seems that we are being told that we do not have the correct set of
patches installed.  From the other messages here, I see there is a
set of 8 mandatory patches.

How can I tell what patches have been installed?  Is any 2.2 distribution
the same?  Or are the current set of patches applied to any new 2.2
purchased?

Basically, how can I verify if my configuration (OS patch set) is
the same as a customer's or Lucid's?

Thank you,
Mike.

Assuming you use the installpatch script, patch information is saved in
/var/sadm/patch.

In my experience, patches are NOT applied to new purchases without bumping
the OS release version slightly (as in SunOS 4.1.1B).
