Hi there!

I wonder if anyone know if there exists a driver for (Creative) Riva TNT
for Solaris 7?

Do I need drivers or can I do something else?

Hi,

XFree86 3.3.3.1 SVGA driver supports RIVA TNT.
        Works great.
        See http://www.xfree86.org/3.3.3.1/NVIDIA.html for the driver
        and http://jagor.srce.hr/~alex/work/xfree86-and-sol26.html to
run CDE over XF86 X server.
        This works well under Solaris7.
You may need to add FontPath for your locale.
        For example, need

    FontPath "/usr/openwin/lib/locale/ja/X11/fonts/F3bitmaps/"
    FontPath "/usr/openwin/lib/locale/ja/X11/fonts/75dpi/"

        for ja locale.

Hi
there is none, I'm using xfree86 instead. Works quite well, but you
can only use 256 colours. Check www.xfree86.org for binaries or source.

Why so? I am using xfree86 on my TNT card (Canopus Spectra 2500) on Solaris
7, and I use 32 bit colors. The sources need a patch (from someone, I don't
remember from who) to compile on 7 if you use gcc.
