HI
this is a known limit with Solaris 7 and IDE disks. SOlaris 8 fixes this
- its the only way around.

Not exactly true as I've seen postings to the Solaris on Intel mailing
list regarding successes in getting Solaris 7 to recognize larger IDE
disks.  While the limit is fixed in Solaris 8, if you can't wait you
could check the archives of the solaris on intel mailing list
(http://www.egroups.com) and I think you will find a solution.
