gcc binaries/expect binaries?

Post by Graham Bromle » Sat, 23 Dec 1995 04:00:00

Folks,

Can anyone recommend an ftp site that has the following binaries
for 2.4,

a) gcc
b) expect

Has to be binaries - no compiler!

Also any recommendations about 2.4 binary ftp sites in general
would be appreciated.

Thanks,

The regular place to get binary gcc is the regular GNU place,
prep.ai.mit.edu:/pub/gnu/Some_godawful_long_dir_name_with_sun_and_solaris_in_it.

Once you have gcc installed, then you can compile expect.

More specifically, look in the /pub/gnu/sparc-sun-solaris2 directory.

But note that those binaries are derived from a now ancient version of
the GNU compiler sources, and they should _only_ be used for building
binaries of the latest release of the GNU compilers, i.e. version 2.7.2.

1. Where are the tgz/binary/i386/gcc/ binary release for KDE Beta 4????

I have been looking for this for the longest time on many different
servers, but all they have in these directories are the .lsm files.
There doesn't seem to be a gcc binary distribution.

Does anyone now of where I can get it (it is is avalable at all).

NOTE: I do not want the egcs release. I want the gcc release. Thanks!
