I am looking for a copy of printer filter for running PLP version 3.4.12
on Solaris 2.3.
The main purpose of this filter is to be able to identify the different
file format such as ascii, dvi, or postscript and be able to print
them on a postscript printer.
If we can ftp the filter and use it for FREE, we would be deeply
appreciated.

1. Printing from PLP to Solaris 2.3
I have problem printing from PLP client running SunOS 4.1.x to Solaris 2.3
print server.
The scenario is:
1. Solaris 2.3 --> PLP (works)
2. Solaris 2.3 --> SunOS 4.1.x lpd (works)
3. SunOS 4.1.x lpd --> Solaris 2.3 (works)
4. PLP --> SunOS 4.1.x lpd (fails)
5. PLP --> Solaris 2.3 (fails)
The version of PLP is release 3.0, 7 Nov. 1988
The error message from PLP when I print to Solaris 2.3 is
Printer 'qms' (taurus.anl.luth.se) ANL-QMS, PS-laser (Rum F 1060, ANL):
Warning: no server present
transfer dfA565taurus.anl.luth.se to vega5 failed Mon Jan 17 16:51:50 1994

I can't find any logs about the transaction on the Solaris 2.3 print server
(vega5).
Has anyone experienced this before and is there a patch for this?
