For the past two days, I have been getting the following message
CONTINUOUSLY on one of the machines here.

Aug 30 07:57:47 athena.nchgr.nih.gov sendmail[501]: AA00501: SYSERR: net hang reading from vash.mris.enr.gov.ab.ca: Connection timed out during collect with vash.mris.enr.gov.ab.ca
Aug 30 07:59:51 athena.nchgr.nih.gov sendmail[502]: AA00502: SYSERR: net hang reading from vash.mris.enr.gov.ab.ca: Connection timed out during collect with vash.mris.enr.gov.ab.ca

The machine is a ss10 running solaris 2.3 and gets its mail
from the mail host. I don't see any similar message on the
mail host.
The machine is a NIS+ client. However, the message seems have
nothing to do with NIS+.
I am more worry about internet break-ins. They have been reported
here in NIH.
