That almost always means that you forgot to install the DU Distribution
floppy or that it didn't correctly install. (If you know how to boot
off the CDROM and mount the root, then check the files
/var/sadm/patch/101936-06/log and /var/sadm/install_data/install_log for
any error messages). After all the packages were installed (which takes
from 20 minutes to an hour) the install program should have asked you to
insert the the second floppy of the DU release. When you do that all
the DU patches are read from the floppy and applied to your system. The
DU patches won't install correctly if you you ignored the message asking
to insert the floppy or if you feed it the wrong or a bad floppy.

driver is only used to access devices attached to the board's SCSI
be target #0.
If you know how to boot from the CDROM, exit the install program, mount
the root, and apply the patches off of the DU Distribution floppy then
you can avoid redoing the full installation. If the previous sentence
doesn't make sense to you then you're probably better off redoing the
full installation than trying to get someone to explain all the
necessary steps via email or over the phone (redoing the install takes
less than an hour, learning the above tricks would take just as long and
you could easily blow it and have to do the full install anyways).
