Structure of IP M_PROTO

Structure of IP M_PROTO

Post by BBL P/ » Mon, 07 Aug 2000 04:00:00

Dear People

I need to generate IP packets in a STREAMS module and send
it downstream. To do that I have to manufacture an M_PROTO
message and an M_DATA message tagged to the former.
I also have to know where to set the IP address and port
in the M_PROTO.

Does anybody know the format of the M_PROTO structure
and or the documentation of such?

Thanks

1. M_PROTO data structure for IP messages

Dear People

I wrote a STREAMS module and need to send out IP packets.

To do the above I need to generate an M_PROTO message with M_DATA
linked to it. I also need to set the right IP address and port in the
M_PROTO.
The question is, what is the structure of the M_PROTO message that
I may set the address and port? Which documentation will have this
structure documented?

Cheers
