building 2.8 on a 3000 and using the OS build a 4000

we are looking to try and build 2.8 on some multipaks we have that are
attached to an ultra 3000 and ship the packs out to users with ultra
4000's.  Other than the scsi id's and configuration issues with -r
does any one know of any other problems with the build.
