License Manager Problem

License Manager Problem

Post by Eric k. Gey » Sat, 24 Jan 1998 04:00:00

I'm having a problem with the License Manager on Solaris 2.5.1.
I have an application, the SunLink PU 2.1 Server, version 9.0
which is failing with these messages:

PU200001 : Initializing SunPU2.1 SNA Server
CSRV000c :  reports LOW severity error:
LMCL0001 : Cannot acquire 1 licenses of feature: pu23270 (-8)
CSRV000c :  reports LOW severity error:
LMCL0006 : Cannot contact license manager

The License manager IS running, I have 16 licenses for the
pu23270 product, and the error only occurs when I specifiy an
LU configuration in the sunpu2.config file. I would appreciate
any help that anyone can give

1. SCO OSR5.0.2 - X11 License Manager problem

Hi all. I have been trying to fix a X11 License Manager problem on
OSR 5.0.2, but failing. Here's what I did:

First I opened up the Software Manager in X11 to remove 2 SCO C
development packages I installed (both properly licensed), then
I double clicked on the License Manager icon and I got

"Brand usage error, check details for correct usage"

and the OK button to quit.

Anyone care to shed some light on this topic, please? Thanks.
