Hi,
Very quick questions:

I bought an Ultra 1 from the states, will it autoswitch to 240v (UK) when I
plug it in? I have it sitting on my desk but don't want to turn it on for
fear of blowing it up. Torture!

I have an external SCSI CD-ROM will it be possible to install Solaris off
that, even if I do not have Solaris at all on the computer (or any OS)?

Yes it'll work fine: I moved my SS2s and SS20 from the UK to Canada last year,
without any problems.

You should be OK, if the CDROM usesa 512 byte block size.
