Q: Solaris 2.5 floppies

Q: Solaris 2.5 floppies

We have several ultra 1's running solaris 2.5 and none of them
will build the floppy devices.  the /dev/fd devices are there
but if you insert a floppy it doesnt know it exists or says
the device is busy.

Also, are there motif libraries that come with solaris that can
be compiled into programs?

With vold running, you must execute "volcheck" after inserting the floppy,
see man page. Its filesystem is mounted on /floppy/<label> with symlink
/floppy/floppy0 .

They are in /usr/dt/lib/. Header files are in /usr/dt/include/.
Link with -L/usr/dt/lib -L/usr/openwin/lib -R/usr/dt/lib:/usr/openwin/lib .
