I posted this question to comp.sys.sun.admin but got no response. I was
hoping someone here may know something....

I am having a problem with co-operative consoles working properly in
SunNet Domain Manager running on Solaris 2.5.1. I set up a simple
request that sends a ping test to a device on the LAN. If it returns
false, then the glyph goes red. On the receiver staton, the glyph also
goes red. However when the device comes back up, only the sender
returns to normal. The receiver remains red. I applied patch 104018-05
to both the sender and the receiver but it still is not working
properly. Has anyone else experienced this problem and come up with a

1. question about Solstice Site/SunNet/Domain Manager.

I know little about this software. Can someone give me help?
- Can it get information from client running onWinNT or HP-UX?
  Do I need to do something on those kinds of client? such as install some
application or change some configuration?
- I have installed agent software on one workstation, but when I want to
setup some request, I always get "Can not creat RPC client : program is not
registered." I don't know how to register that. Do I need license for every
- I want to use Site Manager to audit all the servers in my lab, if there's
any abnormal things happen, I can be informed immediately. Can anyone give
some suggestion on what MIB or what agent schema  should I use.
