2.6 upgrade troubles

Upgrading sparc10 from 2.5.1 to 2.6 package SUNWcsd does not install
correctly.
Here are the *grams:
Doing pkgadd of SUNWcsd to /.
pkgadd: ERROR: unable to create package object

    major/minor device <105, 2> expected <18, 2> actual
pkgadd: ERROR: unable to create package object

Quote:>.

    major/minor device <105, 1> expected <18, 1> actual

    major/minor device <105, 2> expected <18, 2> actual

    major/minor device <105, 1> expected <18, 1> actual

Installation of <SUNWcsd> partially failed.
pkgadd return code = 2

I have an open call to sun service but they obviously have no clue....
Found several bug reports in sunsolve indicating that some folks have known
about this problem for a while but no fixes are listed.
I would just ignore it but other packages depend on SUNWcsd and complain
when I try to install them.

Any ideas?
Thanx

urg.  if you're feeling experimental and have good backups,
you could vaporize the existing minor devices.  i expect the
upgrade will re-make them (it's trying).  they can't conflict
in that case.  if it then complains about ashes in name_to_major,
path_to_inst, and their friends, eeee-yuck.

if you can get rid of the package those things belong to (which
i doubt) gracefully, do that instead of a plain delete.
