Wonder if any one has any ideas on this...

I have the following error on the symgate command

Any ideas how we open the gatekeeper ?

My first guess is that the Symmetrix 000284701575 no longer is available
to the host?

If that't true you can remove it from the hosts database:
# symcfg -sid 000284701575 remove

If it IS available try this:
# symcfg discover
# syminq -symmids | grep 000284701575
This will show you the available devices on the other Symmetrix. If you
find a Gatekeeper you want to define you can do it with:
# symgate define pd /dev/rdsk/cXtYdZs2
