SBPRO support in x86 2.5

SBPRO support in x86 2.5

Hi, I have installed solaris x86 2.5 into my NEC Versa 4050C notebook.
This NEC came with the built-in sbpro compatible sound module (EES or
ESS sound module).  I did not change any of the setting on the sound
module (everything default setting).  When I launch the Audio tools in
solaris, it displayed a message "Can not find /dev/sbpro device"  What
should I do to get it working ?  Thanks in advance...

1. Wide SCSI support in Solaris 2.5 x86

In a different post Bruce Adler who is a contract employee
with Sun stated:

So, when will Sun have F/W SCSI support ?????
Does the limited support of F/W also imply that
only 7 devices on a F/W adapter would be usable by
Solaris 2.5 x86 ?

On a side note, is Sun considering support in a 2.5 x86 driver update
for the new Western Digital SCSI controllers ?  It gets to be kind
of a vicious cycle with new hardware.  People shop for hardware
with the HCL in mind, but Sun doesn't develop for certain cards due to
limited demand.  But the demand for cards for Solaris is driven by
the HCL.
