Howdy.
We've got an FTP server running on our Solaris 2.4 machine
(ftp://www.learner.org/) which many people use Web browsers to connect to.
I've found that Netscape 2.02 and NCSA Mosaic 3.0b3 (for the Mac) can't
connect to the site; I've been told that the latest Netscape and IE for
the PC work fine, but Mosaic for the PC doesn't work on it either. These
browsers which can't FTP to our site can FTP to many other sites.
Any idea why this would happen - what problems we might look for
with our FTP server?
When I say these browsers "can't FTP," I mean they can't retrieve
a directory listing (ftp://www.learner.org/pub/), a text file
(ftp://www.learner.org/pub/k12/The_Guide/readme.txt), or a binary file
(ftp://www.learner.org/pub/k12/The_Guide/MacGuide.sea.hqx).
Your help would be most appreciated.
