I have a question on installation of Solaris 2.6 for x86.
I have used the latest installation disk to boot my machine. After I press
F2 in device configuration asistant screen, the system seems to stall. The
screen only displays "Enumerating buses.....".
I have followed the FAQ to diable internal cache, external cache, video ROM
uncachable, blah blah blah, but it still fails. And I have tried different
combination of bios setup, but it fails.
My system configuration is as follows.
K6-2 300 running in 100Mhz of external clock, 128M SDRAM running in 66Mhz,
2themax 51MVP3C-M mother board, seagate 6.4G IDE HD + CDROM, IBM 10G HD +
zip drive, PCI sound card, internal K56 modem, AT case.
Anyone has the problem like mine? How do you solve it? Thanks.
George
