Does any one know of a good ftptool(OW3.3) running under Solaris 2.3? I have an
old binary from SUNOS 4.x which seems to be buggy.

We use Ftptool Version 4.5 on a Sparc 5 with Solaris 2.3 and OW 3.3. Try an archie search
for ftptool-4.05, thats the current version i think.

Checkout xftp from law livermore nat labs (see archie for src
locations) ... I like it better than ftptool and it's in glorious
motif (boo hiss:) ... it does have some groovy features though (like
3rd party xfers) ... makes ftp a pleasure rather than a chore.

I compiled ftptool 4.6 with no problems about a month ago.
From my install notes:

From what I remember, I had no trouble compiling at all, and
I have haven't noticed any problems, or had any complains from any other
users.
