1. Problem about USR on Solaris 2.5 x86
I had used to connect to my isp with a Hayes Accura 288 modem using
aspppd, and it did work. I had just bought a new modem, USR Sportster
Voice 33.6 and problem comes.
I can use tip or cu to dial up to the isp, but since they do not
support PPP, or I don't know how to do that. When I try to dial up to
the isp with aspppd, fail!
Checking the /var/.../asppp.log with debug level 9, I found that the
progress stop when issusing the init string to the modem. The modem
does response, and then timeout.
What's wrong, is that the problem of modem or the configuration?
Moreover, tip did not work at the begining, until I changed the entry
of hardwire in /etc/remote??? from /term/b to /dev/cua/b, is that the
problem raised?
