How do I change default look of DTTERM?

Post by news.ca.nortel.co » Sun, 14 Oct 2001 10:03:59

Hi everyone,

My apologies if this has already been posted in one form or another...   How
do I change the default look of dtterm when it is fired up from anywhere in
the workspace?  For example, I would like it to start up as follows:

dtterm -fg green -bg black -title MainTerm

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance

Richard

Add lines like this to your ~/.Xresources
Dtterm*foreground: green
Dtterm*background: black
Dtterm*title: MainTerm

(See the dtterm man page for the exact spelling and what other resources
 are available)

In your .Xdefaults file...

Dtterm*dtTermView*foreground:     green
Dtterm*dtTermView*background:     black

1. how can I change default boot partion from linux to dos?

When I installed rh6.0 linux I made linux the default boot partion but I
wanted to make the dos partion the default because now if I don't type in
"dos" at the lilo boot prompt it automatically comes up in linux instead of
automatically coming up in dos.  What file can I edit to change this?
