If I start xdm on a client with:
echo "/usr/openwin/bin/xdm" > /etc/rc3.d/S99xdm; reboot
Only users listed locally in /etc/passwd can log in.
However if I start it manually as root there is no problem.
On the server there is no problems in either cases.
