Yup.  A Sparc 4 is a sun4m architecture.

Most likely the video card is a cg6.

The on-board network is a 10Mbps Lance Ethernet controller.

Are the other systems on a different subnet?  If so, you'll need
to set up some form of routing.  See netstat, route, and
/etc/defaultrouter.

I am new to Sun computers and just purchased an old
Sun Sparcstation 4 with 64Mb RAM and 1Ggb hard disk.
Will Solaris 8 run on it?

Where can I get documentation for the Sparc 4?
I don't even know what type of video card or network card its got.

Solaris 2.5.1 is currently installed on it.
I;m having trouble pinging other machines (the other machines
work just fine). The Sparc can ping itself ok.
Can someone point me to some step-by-step troubleshooting docs?

Thanks in advance.
