simple daemon source

simple daemon source

I need the source to a simple daemon.  I've written a daemon that runs
just fine on IBM AIX, but I need to port it to Solaris 2.5 (and I'm not
having much luck - got it to compile with judicious use of cc options,
but now that I'm at the link/execute stage, I'm running into all sorts
of problems).

Thanks,

Joe

1. need sample source for a simple demon/daemon

I am trying to write a simple server program and wonder if
anyone has some source they could share with me. I need it
to sit and wait for connects on a given socket, get one line
of data from the client, return N lines of data and disconnect.
I have examined some of the sources on sunsite in the
system/Network/daemons area but they are quite complicated.
What I need is something like the fingerd (which I can't
seem to find! Thanks in advance.
