First off, all the smc stuff is located at "/usr/sadm/lib/smc", and you would
start smc, by issuing an exec on "/usr/sadm/lib/smc/bin/smcboot".

It looks like there may be some kind of misconfiguration, or that you are
missing some components, after your install.
SMC is normally started from "S90wbem" at rc 2 ("/etc/rc2.d/S90wbem"), so
you might check to see if that entry was created under the install. The
"S90wbem" script will check to varify that indeed "/usr/sadm/lib/smc/bin/
smcboot" is existing, and if not exit. Perhaps you are missing the whole or
parts of the smc directory?
