/usr/ucb/cc is actually a shell script. If u read that u'll find that,
it actually expects /usr/ccs/bin/ucbcc which is a symbolic link to the
actual cc
(c compiler) usually installed in /opt/SUNWSpro/<ver>/bin/cc

You don't want to use it anyway.  There is no C compiler included with
Solaris 2.x.  Get and read the Solaris FAQ and the Solaris Porting FAQ, then
get gcc binaries from a GNU archive.

That's because you didn't install the compilers - read the FAQ for
this newsgroup for more information.

1. cc in /usr/ucb/cc not installed

Great, I just have this solaris 2.5 installed in my Toshiba 400CS
by my uncle and then I found out that it doens't have the "cc"!
( boy...) and my uncle has gone for his vacation. ( boy.....)

Now, I have found out that the /usr/ucb/cc can't find
the /usr/ccs/bin/ucbcc.

The question is where and how can I install the "cc" or
even better could I get "CC" ( ATT for C++)  somehow?
Is it free?
