:
NO. You have to put NFS package on NT and have UNIX access it via NFS.

: Not entirely true. AFAIK, you can mount your NT shares by installing
: samba on your solaris box. That way you can either export your
: unix filesystems to WfW clients, or access you WfW shares from your
: unix box.

It's been awhile since I ran SAMBA, but you can not mount an NTFS partition.
You can share a UNIX filesystem which NT can see and write to, but the
UNIX machine can't mount the NT filesystem.

There is a samba ftp tool that runs on UNIX that I think allows you to get
at  NTFS partition, but that's definately not the same as mounting
a partition, which was the orignal question.   Actually, if you run Linux
there is support going the oppostie way, but again the question was
for Solaris 2.5.

If I'm wrong, it's great news as I really would like to read and write
to a NTFS partition.

For more info on samba, check on http://lake.canberra.edu.au/pub/samba/
