copy user / password account info to another server?

Post by Mr. Chocolat » Fri, 07 May 2004 12:44:35

I have a solaris box with 100+ user accounts and 20+ groups.  I want
to clone all of that information to another solaris box to do some
pre-release training with.

Is there a way to duplicate all those users and groups on that second
server?

It would be a lot of work to create all those accounts, then force the
users to all reset their passwords.

Thx..

Just copy the relevant lines or /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow from
the old to the new box.
