IP Service 'ntp' (number 123 - Network Time Protocol) for SPARC Solaris 2.4?

Post by David.Ashton-Reade » Tue, 07 Jan 1997 04:00:00

How can I get TCP/UDP IP service no 123 - 'ntp' (Network Time Protocol)
working as a service on SPARC Solaris 2.4 - I can find no ref to it :-(

I want it so I can set my Win95's time from my SPARC - Any other ideas?

                                                Thanx in advance, David

Get xntpd - available from most good ftp archives (e.g. sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk)

1. [2.4] Oops if limit of memory via 'mem=123' failed.

Hello,
the following patch would have saved me some time in wondering about the
'mem=XXX' kernel-parameter (more specific that initrd failed if mem=XXX is
greater than the available physical memory size).
Please apply if you think it would be helpful to other.
