I have recently been getting the following messages in the
/var/adm/messages file:
Dec 19 08:32:25 kcu100 lockd[208]: fcntl: error Invalid argument
Dec 19 08:32:25 kcu100 lockd[208]: lockd: unable to set a lock.

The system is a SPARCserver 1000 with 6 cpus and about 40GB of disk
(mirrored using OnLine:DiskSuite 2.0). The O/S is Solaris 2.3 (Yeah,
I know, I should upgrade, but you tell 500 users that their server is
gonna be down...all flames will be promptly mv'd to /dev/null!). I
suspect it has to do with one of the filesystems being NFS shared to
over 500 PC Novell LanWorkplace clients. I was wondering what, if
anything, I can or should do to prevent this, and whether or not it is
even a pressing problem.
Any assistance will be appreciated.
