I am trying to telnet to another box via a serial cable. What steps do
I need to take? How can I get telnet to use comm port for the protocol?

1. Telnet to Linux Box via serial cable?
Hi,
I posted this question earlier to c.o.l.help, but with
this group, it may be more appropriate here.
What I would like to do is connect an old PC running
NCSA Telnet over a null modem cable to my standalone
Linux Box. I was thinking I may be able to use SLIP
and login, but I have never done this before (say with
a DOS SLIP client and sliplogin in Linux.
Has anyone done anything like this before, or have any
ideas if it is feasible. It would be very convenient
to switch VC using NCSA <alt>-N feature, which is what
I want this for. Thanks for any help,
Darren
