Could someone who has Solaris 2.4 x86 working with a modem send me the
files that needed changing and anything else that was needed?
I've looked over a few Solaris Administrator's books but they either
don't address the subject or what they did have didn't work for me.
I tried using Celestes(?) guide to modems but still no luck.
I am at the point where I will get echo back from the modem, but if
I run tip and type in an AT command instead of getting back OK, the cursor
returns to the begining of the line I was on. As if it is not seeing the
carriage return.
I'm using a US Robotics 14.4 modem, and I'm sure the modem is getting
my key strokes and echoing them back. What baud rate do you set a 14.4
modem at?
E-mail is welcome as is pointing me to a reference book that worked
for you. At this point with our Sys Admin on vacation for another 2
weeks, I'm in need of any help I can get.
Don't worry about offending me by showing each little step you did as
I am clueless when it comes to modems.
Thanks in advance.
