solaris 2.6 floppy jumpstart

solaris 2.6 floppy jumpstart

Post by Mike Billup » Sat, 08 Sep 2001 07:14:51

Had anyone had any luck getting floppy jumpstart to install 2.6 on a
workstation with cpus over 419 Mhz.

I know the micro UNIX does not recognize these cpus.  We are looking
into all options.

1. Solaris/x86: cookbook example of Jumpstart floppy for 2.6 on Intel ?

Hi all,

Have to prepare an automated classroom Solaris 2.6 x86
install. Hardware known to work well with 2.6, no way
to block a box to host a Jumpstart servers.

My idea is to build one floppy per PC and show the
guy there how to play DJ and get the machines
installed automatically.

Have seen the doc, but before I spend hours trying to
create rules.ok and finish scripts, does someone have
a cookbook ?

TIA, Charles
